Development principles

One of the central development principles of the project is a commitment to create a welcoming place for students and the University community. We anticipates the project will include a mix of uses which are connected to the University, welcoming to students, entrepreneurs, scientists and innovators, and the greater University community.

Additionally, we are committed to developing a green, sustainable, open, and connected space, including a vibrant and safe public realm. Some specifics include:

  • New shade trees, spaces for public art, light-filled spaces, dedicated pedestrian non-sidewalk space, hard and soft scape public realm, and new bicycle racks.
  • A public realm that leverages light, connected pedestrian experiences, and urban green space.
  • The ability to achieve density and design standards, with an eye toward setting aspirational models for architectural quality, engineering, and sustainability.
